Cancellation Terms & Conditions (Beach Wheelchair Rental – South Africa)
1. Right to Cancel
In accordance with Section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the customer may cancel any advance booking or reservation for the rental of a beach wheelchair at any time before the booking date.
2. Cancellation Notice
Cancellation must be submitted in writing via email, WhatsApp, or other recorded communication.
3. Cancellation Fees
Where a booking is cancelled, the supplier reserves the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee, taking into account the notice period and the ability to re-book the wheelchair.
The following guideline applies:
Cancellation Notice Cancellation Fee
More than 72 hours before booking Full refund or no cancellation fee
24 – 72 hours before booking 50% of the booking fee
Less than 24 hours before booking 100% of the booking fee
No-show or same-day cancellation 100% of the booking fee
4. Determination of “Reasonable” Fee
In line with the CPA regulations, the cancellation fee will consider:
The length of notice given by the customer
The nature of the service reserved
The ability to secure another booking for the same time slot Industry practices for similar services.
5. Exceptions
No cancellation fee will be charged if the customer cannot honour the booking due to:
Death, or Hospitalisation of the person for whom the booking was made, provided reasonable proof is supplied.
6. Refund Processing
Where a refund is due, it will be processed within 7–14 business days after confirmation of the cancellation.
7. Amendments / Rescheduling
Where possible, the supplier may allow customers to reschedule the booking instead of cancelling, subject to availability.
